Renewable Energy Jobs Demand Filled with Online Courses
June 13, 2009
Renewable energy jobs are carving a niche for the future. And an online course by Sun Pirate is ready to meet that demand by training people in the field.
The two courses being offered in renewable energy are: Fundamentals of Solar Water Heating (11-week course, 40 hrs, $495) and Photovoltaic System Design & Installation (16-week course, 60 hrs, $595). These courses will concentrate on the basics of installing code-compliant solar energy systems.
“Our primary goal with the renewable energy courses we offer is to help provide our industry and communities a knowledgeable and skilled professional workforce,” said Roger Coghlan, president of Sun Pirate. Coghlan has a Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Studies and Planning, with a certificate in Energy Management and Design from Sonoma State University.
Coghlan states that these courses are perfect for veterans who are preparing to take the North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners (NABCEP) certification exam.
